Dr. James Jordan-Wagner
is the dean of the College of Business Administration at Tennessee Tech University.

Niebuhr earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and his master's and doctoral degree in management from The Ohio State University. Prior to his arrival at TTU in 2001, he was a faculty member at the College of Business at Auburn University for 24 years. He served Auburn as head of the Management Department and as interim dean. Other roles included executive director of the college's Corporate Relations and director of the Physicians Executive MBA Program. Before beginning his career at Auburn, he was a metallurgical engineer for 10 years.

Niebuhr has been recognized by the Tennessee Board of Regents at the Annual Distance Learning Conference for his leadership in the Distance MBA Program. He is a member of Tennessee Tech University's Academic Council and also serves on the Curriculum Committee, the Graduate School Executive Committee, and the Information Technology Committee.
