BMC uses emerging business technologies to help entrepreneurial company Nesco, Inc., connect with its dealer network, market its product and demonstrate product installation procedures.

The Amaizablaze Corn Stove, developed and manufactured by Nesco, Inc., is promoted as a clean, efficient, innovative and affordable alternative heating source. Using corn -- a fast-renewing source of energy -- to heat homes and businesses, Amaizablaze Corn Stoves are quickly becoming a popular heating alternative . . . and preference.
Several years ago, as demand for the corn stoves increased, entrepreneur and Nesco founder Jim Hall faced the challenge of communicating with the broad network of dealers who sell and install the corn stove systems throughout the U.S.
"We had a very specific need to communicate some comprehensive concepts to our dealer network," said Hall.

"It's important to properly install the corn stoves, and we were struggling with a way to demonstrate the installation procedures to our many dealers.
"We met with the people at the BusinessMedia Center and they came up with the idea of creating a CD-ROM containing a video installation manual," said Hall.
"Now, there are hundreds of videos on the CD, all serving different purposes. Some show installation procedures, others are positive testimonials from dealers and customers, and some show how the stoves are made.
"It was a very successful CD. It gave our dealers an effective tool for selling the stoves and also helped describe the installation process more efficiently.
"At the time, it wasn't possible to have all those videos on our Web site. When we were ready to expand our dealer network, we went back to BMC, and they assured me that the technology had caught up with what we wanted to do. The BusinessMedia Center found a way to perfect the videos from the CD-ROM and now 100 percent of that content is on our Web site.
