As a business resource, BMC plays a key role in economic development.

Twenty Tennessee counties turned to BMC to create promotional CD-ROMs to help them market their communities.
Whether county officials are eager to recruit new business/industry or hope to increase tourism dollars, BMC helps rally the communities' key players to work together on strengthening economic growth. By engaging community members, BMC helps the communities move forward in economic development.
TTU chairholder, Dr. Curt Reimann, said the region benefits from cooperative efforts toward economic growth.
"As a bridge between education and business, BMC is critical in workforce development and in sharing knowledge of advancing technologies," he said.

Reimann is Senior Scientist Emeritus and Former Director (1987-1995) of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He has served as the W. Eugene Mayberry Chair of Excellence since 1996 in TTU's College of Business Administration.
"BMC is a unique resource, especially in project management. They work with various communities and on different projects, helping customers shape and project messages.
"The region needs connectivity . . . (and) the BusinessMedia Center helps serve the region by providing critical services, adding creative energy and innovation, and contributing to economic development," Reimann said.
BMC has produced material for these Tennessee counties: Campbell, Clay, Dekalb, Fentress, Lawrence, Macon, Maury, McMinn, Monroe, Morgan, Overton, Pickett, Polk, Putnam, Rhea, Smith, Sumner, VanBuren, Warren and White.
