BMC develops an internationally-recognized, education-based CD-ROM and Web site about the dangers of methamphetamine use.
Officials of the Putnam County Health Department, the District Attorney General's office and the 13th Judicial District Drug Task Force approached BMC to ask for help in the fight against methamphetamine abuse.

Local and state public service agencies were in need of an educational tool for mass distribution throughout Tennessee and the United States. Their desire to educate the public about the negative effects of meth use was shared by the BMC.

Jerrod Wright, public health educator for the Putnam County Health Department, first contacted BMC about the "Meth=Death: Meth Education Tool Kit."
"It was a 19-month project," said Wright. "We kept adding information and when the CD was unable to hold all the information, the BusinessMedia Center upgraded to a DVD version. BMC didn't allow the CD limitation to get in the way of what we were trying to do.

"This tool is the cornerstone of meth education for law enforcement, health and school systems, Department of Children's Services, city and county officials, and any organization interested in fighting the meth crisis.

"Working with BMC was an awesome experience, and we've gotten so much praise from so many people about the tool kit.

"The Web site has had hits from 48 states and eight different countries. In one month alone, it received 24,000 hits.
