BMC develops an internationally-recognized, education-based CD-ROM and Web site about the dangers of methamphetamine use.
|
"I told Kevin (Liska, BMC director) that if we can help just one person it will be worth it, and it turns out it has reached and helped a lot more people than I ever thought it would."
Putnam County District Attorney Bill Gibson said, "Something that was once nothing is now a very valuable prevention tool in the effort to educate the public and immunize young people against the dangers of this deadly drug."

U.S. Congressman Bart Gordon (D-Tenn.) invited TTU President Robert Bell to speak to Congress about the university's role in helping solve the meth crisis. With the use of the Meth=Death CD-ROM, BMC helped Bell prepare his testimony.
In a note to Kevin Liska, Bell wrote, "This is just a brief note to say thank you for the outstanding support you gave while I was preparing my testimony for the hearings in Washington. The testimony went very well, in large part because of the great work you did to help me get ready.
"Thanks again for going 'above and beyond.'"
